This training course on NFPA 13 – Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems (2025) enables participants to deepen and strengthen the skills needed to correctly interpret and apply the design, installation, and analysis requirements for automatic sprinkler systems through live, interactive, instructor-led training.

The course guides participants through a realistic digital environment simulating industrial and logistics settings, where they will need to apply the requirements of NFPA 13, analyze real-world scenarios, evaluate alternative solutions, and make technical decisions in real time. The instructional approach is designed to develop a practical, hands-on understanding of the regulatory criteria, going beyond simply reading the standard.

The course is designed for fire protection designers, installers, maintenance technicians, and engineering firms, as well as for risk engineers at insurance companies and brokers, for whom the proper evaluation of sprinkler systems is a key element in loss prevention, risk assessment, and asset protection.

Interactive instruction covers a wide range of requirements of NFPA 13 and enables you to improve your ability to:

• Identify and correctly interpret applicable requirements,
• Design and analyze sprinkler systems according to risk,
• Evaluate the appropriateness of solutions adopted in industrial and warehouse settings.

The training program is enhanced by collaborative exercises and instructor-led discussions, offering a structured and practical overview of the main strategies for protection using sprinkler systems.

The course has a total duration of 21 hours.

Instructor. The course will be taught by Yusuf Arslan, a fire protection engineer and NFPA Approved Instructor, with over twenty years of international experience in the design and implementation of fire protection systems. He currently serves as Technical Support Supervisor at Viking EMEA, where he coordinates technical support and provides expert consultation on sprinkler, water mist, gas, and foam systems. Authorized to teach official courses on NFPA Standards 13, 20, 25, 30, 101, and 2001, Yusuf combines his in-depth knowledge of regulations with significant practical and training experience, gained through projects, courses, and workshops conducted in various international settings.

The course can be purchased individually or as part of a bundle with the NFPA 20 – Standard for the Installation of Fire Pumps course, which will be held during the same week. In this case, a 10% discount applies to the total.
