This training course on NFPA 20—Standard for the Installation of Stationary Pumps for Fire Protection—guides participants through the entire life cycle of a stationary fire pump, from design and installation through commissioning, inspection, testing, and maintenance (ITM).

This course is particularly well-suited not only for companies that design, install, and maintain fire protection systems, but also for risk engineers working for insurance companies and brokers who need an in-depth understanding of the technical and regulatory requirements for fire pumps in order to:

• correctly assess the suitability of the solutions installed,
• identify recurring critical issues during the design, installation or management phases,
• provide qualified support for loss prevention and risk assessment activities.

When an organization is responsible for the installation, testing, and maintenance of fixed fire pumps, or when such systems are a key factor in insurance risk assessment, it is essential that the personnel involved be up to date on the latest requirements of NFPA 20. Investing in training improves the technical quality of decisions, reduces risk exposure, and strengthens the professional expertise of the personnel involved.

Instructor. The course will be taught by Yusuf Arslan, a fire protection engineer and NFPA-Approved Instructor, with over twenty years of international experience in the design and implementation of fire protection systems. He currently serves as Technical Support Supervisor at Viking EMEA, where he coordinates technical support and provides expert consultation on sprinkler, water mist, gas, and foam systems. Authorized to teach official courses on NFPA Standards 13, 20, 25, 30, 101, and 2001, Yusuf combines his in-depth knowledge of regulations with significant practical and training experience, gained through projects, courses, and workshops conducted in various international settings.

The course lasts 2 days (14 hours).

The course can be purchased individually or as part of a bundle with the NFPA 13 – Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems course, which will be held during the same week. In this case, a 10% discount applies to the total.
